The structure was originally built as a convict station, but after a complete revamp The PortsWood Hotel is a location where one would far rather extend their stay!

The Quarterdeck Restaurant at the Portswood has seating 75 persons. This lovely restaurant offers a buffet breakfast and comprehensive a la carte menu specializing in Cape Malay Cuisine. 
Rooms
The PortsWood offers Standard rooms which are decorated in a nautical style. The rooms are slightly smaller than the rooms at their brother hotel, The Commodore. There is a choice of twin or double beds in the rooms. Each room is ideal for business travelers with all the right amenities
The PortsWood also offers 9 Mini-Suites which are bright and spacious and decorated in a nautical style. The Mini-suites are located on the top floor of the hotel and offer larger bathroom and a small lounge area with seating.
