DAY ONE – FOUR
Today you will arrive at Port Elizabeth Airport where you will be met by your driver displaying a sign with your name. (Flight not included.) You will be transferred to Shamwari Private Game Reserve where you will stay at the family friendly Riverdene Lodge 5* in two interleading rooms on a Full Board or Fully Inclusive Basis* + 2 game drives per day. Your adventure starts here! * Fully inclusive available from May 2019. Spend 3 nights at Shamwari and have the most amazing safari experience. Particularly accommodating for families, the lodge offers professional child care for the very little ones which include a special children’s play area, both inside and outside, with safari related games, activities and stories.
DAY FOUR - SEVEN
Today you will be transferred by your driver back to Port Elizabeth Airport where you will collect your hire car. You will self-drive to the stunning coastal town of Plettenberg Bay, where you will stay for 4 nights at Emily Moon River Lodge 4*. Their spacious family suites offer luxury and everything you need for a comfortable stay with the little ones. The area of Plettenberg is a fantastic location in which to base yourselves for all of the adventure and wildlife activities on offer, including a bungee jump for an adrenaline rush. The lagoon town of Knysna is about a 30 min drive away, and a trip on the Paddle Steamer over to the Knysna Heads Nature Reserve is a fun thing to do.
DAY EIGHT – ELEVEN
Today you will self-drive down the Garden Route to the vibrant city of Cape Town. Suggested stop on route for lunch would be the historic town of Swellendam, the traditional stop off point for travelers. On arrival in Cape Town you will stay for 4 nights on the V & A Waterfront Marina in a lovely 2 bed Superior Apartment overlooking the yacht basin or canal. The main Waterfront is a short stroll away and here you can enjoy the markets, shops, restaurants, cafes and the Two Ocean’s Aquarium plus, plus! Cape Town offers so much for the family, beaches, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, local street markets, the Tourist bus, helicopter trips, Robben Island, really too many things to mention here.
DAY TWELVE – FOURTEEN
Today you will return your hire car to Cape Town International and you will board your flight to Johannesburg O R Tambo International. (Flight not included.) Here you will be met by your driver displaying a sign with your name and you will be transferred by road to the famous Sun City Resort. Here you will stay for 3 nights at The Cascades Hotel 5*, in a Superior Luxury Family Room, including breakfast. Enjoy the pools and the Valley of the Waves, lots of activities for both adults and children, the golf courses, the spa, the theatre … it’s a fabulous place to stay with the family to relax or enjoy all the activities on offer. Or a bit of both!
DAY FIFTEEN
Today you will be collected by your driver and transferred back to Johannesburg O R Tambo for your flight back home. (Flight not included)
