The Kruger National Park is in the north eastern area of South Africa. The ‘Greater Kruger’ encompasses all the other areas that are not part of the Sabi Sands. Some lodges closely border the Sabi Sands. Again, game viewing is excellent in the whole area and as there are various eco-systems, the distribution of game varies accordingly. For example, in the savanna areas, you would be more likely to see Cheetah and Lion. BIG 5 viewing as well as sighting many smaller mammals is highly likely throughout. This is a low risk malaria area, although it is recommended that clients take advice from their local GP before travel on any necessary anti-malarial treatment.
